F1 grands prix capped at 290km in 2027, back to 305km in 2028

Grands prix will be capped at 290km in 2027, 15km shorter than the current 305km maximum, for a handful of the most fuel-hungry races. The FIA's published 2027 rules include a clause restoring 305km from 2028. The cut responds to the 2027 engine changes, which shift the power split towards combustion and raise fuel burn.
