Mont Blanc Dips 1.29 Metres to 4,807.47 Metres

Mont Blanc now stands at 4,807.47 metres, down 1.29 metres from 2025, Haute-Savoie surveyors report. Using satellites and drones, they mapped the snow-and-ice cap sitting atop rock estimated at 4,792 metres. The peak is still 3.43 metres below its 2007 high. Surveyors call such shifts normal year-to-year variation, not a constant decline.
