Only 19% odds of an Oct. 28 Fed hike

Money markets put just a 19% chance on a Fed rate rise Oct. 28, down from 70%, the Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 9. U.S. and European bond yields — the interest governments pay to borrow — rose that day but stayed below recent highs. I see short-term relief for borrowers, with longer-term borrowing costs still tight.
