Yandex shuts Vladimir data centre after drone strike

Yandex says its large Vladimir data centre, east of Moscow, shut down Oct. 11 after a drone attack. The 50-megawatt facility — enough power for a small city — suspended all operations, knocking several services offline. Users were told to switch to backup systems. No injuries were reported. It was the third strike on Yandex sites in four days.
