
Taiz Hospitals Near Collapse as Houthi Siege Tightens, Yemen Government Warns
Yemen's internationally recognized government warned Oct. 11 that Taiz faces an 'imminent health and humanitarian catastrophe' under Houthi siege. The health ministry said medicines, IV fluids — liquids given through veins — and fuel are nearly gone, threatening emergency, surgery, intensive care, dialysis and newborn care. It called for open supply routes and UN aid deliveries.
