Australian Patients Want Cheaper Weight Drugs for Common Hormone Condition

An Australian patients' group, POSAA, wants the government to help pay for GLP-1 weight-management drugs for PMOS, once called polycystic ovarian syndrome, a hormone condition affecting one in eight women. Without Australia's safety-body approval for that use, doctors can still prescribe them, but patients must pay full price — several hundred dollars a month.
