ICE Officer Shoots Bronx Driver With Child in Car

An ICE officer — from the federal immigration enforcement agency — shot Oscar Belgal in the neck on Oct. 8 in Marble Hill, Bronx, with Belgal's 5-year-old son in the car. At least seven shots were fired as children left school. Belgal was hospitalized, conscious. ICE says he hit two vehicles and drove at officers. Mayor Zohran Mamdani called the shooting 'unconscionable.'
