Japan halts new sales at Prudential, Gibraltar Life until Jan. 31

Japan's Financial Services Agency said Oct. 9 it ordered Gibraltar Life and Prudential of Japan to suspend business and improve practices. They cannot seek or sign new policies Oct. 13 to Jan. 31. Prudential confirmed the order for its Japan unit and posted its next steps.
