Meta Blocks TikTok and ByteDance Ads in Seven Countries

Meta has barred TikTok and ByteDance advertising on Facebook and Instagram in the US, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. The company confirmed the ban covers ads and marketing from ByteDance, which it described as TikTok's US minority owner.
