Nobel Winner Pillay Led UN Inquiry Accusing Israel of Genocidal Acts

2026 Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay led the UN inquiry on the occupied Palestinian territory. The commission concluded Israel committed genocidal acts in Gaza, meaning actions intended to destroy Palestinians there, and said leaders Benjamin Netanyahu, Isaac Herzog and Yoav Gallant incited genocide. Israel did not cooperate and called the report scandalous.
