OpenAI Puts Yearly Revenue Pace Near $50 Billion, Below $70 Billion Report

OpenAI told investors its annualized revenue — current sales projected over a full year — is approaching $50 billion, the Financial Times reported Oct. 8 via TechCrunch. That is about $20 billion below the $70 billion figure reported Sept. 29, which came from investor materials meant to compare OpenAI with rival Anthropic.
