Cook Says He Is Staying Out of New Apple CEO's Way

Tim Cook says he is "not meddling" in John Ternus's work as Apple CEO. In an interview with The Independent published Oct. 8, Cook said he stepped down in September to become executive chairman, a board role. He told Ternus to make it his own, as he did after Steve Jobs, while he focuses on global policy and government relations.
