Top earners save $468 from fuel tax pause, lowest earners $132

Families in the top fifth of incomes will save an average of $468 from Ottawa's temporary pause on the fuel tax, Parliamentary Budget Officer Annette Ryan estimates. Families in the bottom fifth will save $132. Higher-income households benefit more largely because they buy more fuel.
