BBC to End You and Yours After 50 Years Amid Cuts

The BBC plans to cancel You and Yours, its daytime consumer-affairs show on Radio 4, after more than 50 years on air. Running since the 1970s, it investigated listener complaints. The BBC links the closure to £500m in savings and a shift to digital, multi-platform output. Replacement shows are planned. Its end would remove a daily service-journalism fixture.
