Skydance Completes $110B Warner Takeover, Uniting CNN and CBS

Paramount Skydance closed its Warner Bros. Discovery purchase on Oct 6, 2026, valued at about $110 billion including debt. The merged firm will be called Skydance Corporation, placing CNN and CBS News under one owner. HBO, CBS, DC Studios and others join Paramount+ and HBO Max. How the newsrooms will coexist is still undecided.
