National promises $604m more for medicines, less aid elsewhere

National says it would give $604 million more for subsidised medicines if it wins the next election. Pharmac is the group that picks which medicines the public system covers. It says it would largely pay for this with a 10 percent cut to overseas help outside the Pacific. Pacific help would stay. It spoke in Epsom, Auckland.
