Saudi-backed forces retake Dhubab near Bab al-Mandab Strait

Yemeni officials said Saudi-backed forces retook Dhubab, Bab and Hadeid near the Bab al-Mandab Strait on Oct. 5. The strait is a narrow Red Sea shipping lane, a chokepoint where ships can be blocked, seized by Houthis last month with 150 km of land. Both sides claim ground near Taiz, so lasting control is unproven.
