
US share of studio film spend falls to 42%, TV to 64% over 25 years
The US share of major-studio film spending fell from 74% to 42% over 25 years, TV from 94% to 64%, in an EY report for IATSE, the Directors Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA, reported by Variety. The report says total studio spend rose, with film up from $3bn to $7bn a year and TV from $933m to $8.4bn.
