Suspected Flydubai co-pilot named as Omani barred earlier over extremist views

AP and CNN, citing sources, named the suspected Flydubai Flight FZ1073 co-pilot as Omani national Hamam al-Hammami. The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources, says Oman had earlier barred him from flying over suspected extremist views. He allegedly attacked the captain with an axe Wednesday on the Dubai-Tel Aviv flight with 174 aboard.
