Latin America Faces Biggest Risk From U.S. Diesel Export Ban
Latin America would feel the sharpest impact if the U.S. bans diesel exports, Goldman Sachs said Oct. 2. Mexico is the top buyer, importing about 220,000 barrels per day in 2025 — 17% of U.S. distillate (diesel-type fuel) exports. The assessment follows President Trump's threat to curb exports to lower U.S. prices before November elections.
