King Charles to acknowledge slavery past without apology or reparations on Caribbean tour

Buckingham Palace says King Charles will confront "the darkest days of our past" on his planned eight-day tour to The Bahamas, Guyana and Antigua and Barbuda. The Palace says he will stop short of apology or reparations, acting on the advice of the UK Government, which decides policy. The Government says it will not pay financial reparations.
