Seagate fell 11% and Western Digital fell 7% on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, after a report of hard-disk-drive (HDD) expansion by Toshiba, according to Investing.com. I think investors are pricing extra-supply risk, not weaker demand. Size and timing are still unknown.
