Hard-drive stocks fall on more-supply fears
Seagate fell 11% and Western Digital fell 7% Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, on a report Toshiba plans more hard drives, the computer storage disks, according to Investing.com. I read this as investors fearing extra supply, like too many houses for sale, will lower prices. Demand isn't proven weaker. Size and timing are unknown.
