FlyDubai Captain Stabbed Stopping Co-Pilot Attack

A FlyDubai captain, Indian citizen Smit Machchhar, was stabbed when his co-pilot attacked him on the Sept. 30 Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight carrying about 170 people. Despite serious wounds, Machchhar fought back and opened the cockpit door so others could intervene. He is recovering well. Reviews of cockpit security and pilot background checks are likely.
