AWS CEO Says U.S. Data Center Pauses Could Cost AI Lead for Generations

Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman warned Oct. 2 that more than 100 proposed U.S. pauses on new data centers — the large facilities that power AI — could cost the U.S. its lead in AI for generations. In a blog post, he wrote “our nation can't afford to lose” and urged support for the projects.
