Ottawa names Pacific Link pipeline a national-interest project
Prime Minister Mark Carney designated the proposed Pacific Link oil pipeline from Alberta to B.C. as a project of national interest on Oct. 1. The label means Ottawa treats it as a national priority. The federal Major Projects Office will lead the review, with final conditions due by Sept. 1, 2027.
