Britain's three train-leasing companies — which own trains and rent them to operators — shared £3.5m among their chiefs last year while paying owners almost £400m in dividends, or profit payouts. Porterbrook paid CEO Mary Grant £1.44m plus £80m in dividends; Eversholt paid departing CEO Mary Kenny £1.33m plus £200m; Angel Trains paid Malcolm Brown £700,000 plus £111m.
