Ottawa designates Pacific Link pipeline a project of national interest

Prime Minister Mark Carney designated the proposed Pacific Link oil pipeline from Alberta to B.C. as a project of national interest on Oct. 1. Ottawa's Major Projects Office will lead the federal review, with conditions to be finalized by Sept. 1, 2027.
