B.C. parties face Oct. 3 deadline for candidates in 93 ridings

British Columbia parties must file nomination papers with local Elections BC officials by 1 p.m. Pacific Saturday, Oct. 3, for the 44th general election in 93 ridings, or electoral districts. Elections BC will release the final candidate list after the deadline. Major parties expect full slates, a candidate in every riding; smaller parties face a harder task.
