MSG Sports Board Backs Split of Rangers and Knicks

Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. said Sept. 30, 2026 its board approved spinning off the New York Rangers business from the Knicks business. The NYSE-listed MSG Sports would split into two separate teams, letting investors own just one team. I see the appeal, but how costs and debts are divided still matters for what each is worth.
