Knicks and Rangers to Split Into Two Businesses

Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. said Sept. 30, 2026 its board approved splitting the New York Rangers business from the Knicks business. MSG Sports, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange, would become two separate teams, like splitting one house into two. I see why owning just one appeals to investors, but shared costs and debts need dividing.
