Manchester City guilty over £830m in disguised owner funding

Manchester City hid more than £830m in owner funding as sponsorship, an independent commission ruled on 29 September 2026. Of £949.94m sponsor income from 2009-10 to 2017-18, only £119.25m came from sponsors. The rest was tagged sums paid by owners. The Premier League said the deals were 'sham' commercial contracts.
