Morocco Names First Woman Premier After Parliamentary Win

Fatima Zahra El Mansouri will become Morocco's first woman prime minister. King Mohammed VI appointed her Sept. 29 after her Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won the Sept. 23 parliamentary vote. She is only the second woman to head an Arab government, after Tunisia's Najla Bouden. With 97 of 395 seats, PAM must negotiate a coalition, a governing alliance.
