South Korea links DMZ blast to newly laid North Korean mines

South Korea's Joint Chiefs said Sept. 28 that early findings from a joint investigation with the UN Command point to newly planted landmines in the Sept. 21 blast in the western DMZ, the demilitarized buffer zone, that severely wounded three officers. The site was 10 metres from area where North Korean forces allegedly laid mines. Final determination pending.
