Fetterman misspeaks on party label, quickly corrects

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman misspoke Sept. 26 at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin when asked why he hasn't become an independent, a lawmaker outside the two major parties. 'Because I'm a lifelong Republican,' he said. Interviewer Major Garrett said 'Democrat,' and Fetterman laughed: 'I'm a lifelong Democrat. That'll get clipped.'
