BYD to Launch Solid-State Battery Car in 2027

BYD will release its first production car using a solid-state battery, a type that replaces liquid with solid material, in 2027, Executive Vice President Stella Li told Carwow Spain. Li said BYD leads in solid-state development and commercialization. The plan matches earlier guidance for demonstration builds in 2027 before scaled production.
