Bots Passed 50% of Internet Traffic in June, Cloudflare Reports

More than half of internet traffic in June came from bots, automated software, Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince said on The Verge's Decoder episode published Sept. 26, 2026. The interview was part of a two-part series on the future of business. Prince said AI-driven traffic, systems that scan and generate content at scale, could eventually account for most traffic.
