Yemen's al-Alimi Calls for Recruits, Offers Houthis Amnesty to Retake Sanaa

Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council chair Rashad al-Alimi, in a Friday broadcast, urged Yemenis to join Saudi-backed forces and promised pardon for Houthi fighters who switch sides, to retake the capital Sanaa, held by the Houthis since 2014. It was his first address since government troops were driven from the western Red Sea coast to block advances toward Bab al-Mandeb.
