Essex AI Supercomputer Delayed by Lack of Grid Power

The UK's largest AI supercomputer in Loughton, Essex, will miss its 2027 opening and may slip to the mid-2030s. UK Power Networks reportedly told developer Nscale the 90 megawatts of grid electricity needed won't be available until the early to mid-2030s. Nscale says it stays committed and is exploring onsite power generation.
