Matthew Macfadyen confirmed as George Smiley in Legacy of Spies first-look

Variety reported 28 September that first-look, meaning officially released images, confirm Matthew Macfadyen as George Smiley opposite Charlie Hunnam as Alec Leamas in Legacy of Spies. The eight-episode BBC and MGM+ le Carré adaptation has wrapped filming, it said. It will launch on BBC One and iPlayer in the U.K. and on MGM+ in the U.S.
