UK's largest AI supercomputer in Essex delayed to 2030s by power shortage

The Loughton, Essex datacentre billed as the UK's largest AI supercomputer will miss its 2027 launch and could slip to the mid-2030s for lack of grid power. UK Power Networks reportedly told developer Nscale it cannot supply the requested 90MW until the early to mid-2030s. Nscale says it is committed and examining onsite generation.
