Burnham says 1985 football drinking ban is unfair

Prime Minister Andy Burnham said the 1985 ban on drinking alcohol in view of the pitch in England and Wales is outdated and unfair. The Everton supporter said there is a case for ending discrimination against football fans. BBC Sport said repeal is not yet government policy. MPs rejected a Conservative amendment calling for consultation.
