Vocational GCSEs for 14-year-olds in England from 2029

Prime Minister Andy Burnham said new vocational GCSEs will be taught in England from 2029. The qualifications, for pupils aged 14, will run alongside core academic subjects. Ministers said early subjects include building and construction, business and finance, and child development. Ofqual, the exams regulator, will set standards to keep results comparable.
