Burnham announces vocational GCSEs for England from 2029

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced new vocational GCSEs for 14-year-olds in England, to be taught from 2029 alongside core academic subjects. Ministers said proposed subjects include building and construction, business management and finance, and child development. Regulator Ofqual will set standards to keep grades in line with other GCSEs.
