Meta brings voice-controlled lifelike avatars to Ray-Ban Display calls

Meta said at Meta Connect 2026 that Ray-Ban Display calls will use photorealistic holographic avatars created in the Meta AI app to replace the wearer's face. Driven by voice alone, they infer expression from words and prosody, or vocal tone. Early access starts fall 2026 for US WhatsApp users.
