Meta to add voice-driven holographic avatars to Ray-Ban Display calls

Meta announced at Meta Connect 2026 that Ray-Ban Display will support photorealistic holographic avatars for calls, generated via the Meta AI app to replace the wearer's face. The avatar is driven entirely by voice, inferring expression from content and prosody. Early access begins fall 2026 for WhatsApp users in the US.
