Rivian R2 halves lifetime emissions, hits 2030 goal early

Rivian says its R2 Performance produces half the lifetime greenhouse gas emissions of its 2022 R1, reaching its 2030 goal four years early. The finding, in its 2025 impact report, counts manufacturing, driving, and recycling, and rates the R2 58% lower than a comparable gasoline vehicle.
