Rivian says R2 halves lifetime emissions, hitting 2030 goal early

Rivian says its R2 Performance cuts lifetime greenhouse gas emissions by half versus its 2022 R1, meeting its 2030 target four years early. The assessment in its 2025 impact report covers production, driving and recycling, and puts the R2 58% below a comparable gasoline vehicle.
