Halley Production Boards Barcelona Pétanque-Ball Thriller 'Carro Seco'

Paris-based Halley Production has boarded Javier Polo's thriller 'Carro Seco' ('Carreau'), partnering with València's Los Hermanos Polo Films and Barcelona's Lastcrit. The Barcelona-set project, written by María Mínguez and Merli Marlowe, follows a vigilante killer who dresses as a vintage pétanque player and murders real estate speculators with heavy metal boules. It was selected for the 2026 Co-Production Forum at Iberseries & Platino Industria, running 29 September–2 October at Matadero Madrid. (Variety)
