France and South Korea Pledge Over $1 Billion for Film and Animation at Inaugural Lumiere Summit

France and South Korea unveiled a trade agreement on September 7, 2026, committing more than $1 billion to film production and animation across both countries. Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Lee Jae Myung co-chaired the inaugural Lumiere Summit at the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. No breakdown of the spending was disclosed.
